Our annual Christmas party was held on Thursday 19th December 2019 at St Andrew’s Centre in Pershore, the theme this year being France. Chris provided an interesting selection of French wines, kindly augmented by Champagne from Peter and a Madiran 2001 from Paul – the wine chosen as it was from the year Pershore Wine Society was founded.

The selection of food, again following the French theme, provided by members hit new heights of excellence with a splendid selection of savoury and sweet dishes together with a wide choice of cheeses. I can safely say that we ate extremely well and the foods went well with the wines.
As usual Chris produced a challenging quiz won by John with a score of 18/20 – an impressive result.
Plans for the programme for the next year were discussed with some excellent suggestions promising an interesting year ahead. Details will be posted as soon as possible.
Thanks to Chris and Maree for organising an excellent evening.
