Once again our Christmas party proved to be a huge success with lots of wonderful Italian food and wine . The venue, St Andrews Centre, was perfect for the occasion and we all enjoyed the opportunity to chat in a relaxed atmosphere. It was lovely to see some new faces and we hope to see more of them at future meetings.
As ever the food provided by members was spectacular. As a result of this we are going to have a new ‘Recipes’ section here on the website where we will also feature any recipe you would like to share – along with suggestions for suitable wines. I have been promised by the recipe for Gerry’s Panettone and Nick’s Spiced chocolate confection so watch out for those. I will be starting the section off with my recipe for ‘Nonna’s Prosciutto Rolls‘ . Large hint – there were a few other delicious things that we would all be grateful to have the recipes for.
The Quiz was won by John Freeland after a tie-breaker or two with Paul Bromage, the prize being a bottle of Port to add to the Christmas festivities.
